Calin Bleu is looking for 6 Brand Ambassadors to represent us from May to October.
As a Calin Bleu Brand Ambassador, you will be babywearing for the coming 6 months and love to get out and about having fun with your baby. You will enjoy taking pictures and sharing your babywearing journey online and on social media.
Having a baby can be a great adventure and we want to see you having fun and going out and about with your baby carried in a Calin Bleu sling. When you’re a Brand Ambassador you’ll be even more motivated to go out to interesting places and have some fun!
You’ll also get really good at positioning, ensuring your baby is safe and comfortable when you carry him or her so that your pictures demonstrate best practice.
Your photographic, written and/or video skills are bound to improve as you share your journey online. Perhaps you’ll enjoy more confidence as you share your experiences and knowledge with others and who knows where it’ll take you!
And of course, you’ll receive a free wrap or ring sling of your choice as well as 50% off for up to 5 more slings! If you want to buy more than that then you can get a 30% discount, valid indefinitely 🙂
We would love you to become an active member of our secret Facebook group where you get to see what’s going on behind the scenes, learn about new products and have a chance to test them out 🙂
We would love to have a good cross-section of babywearers as Ambassadors so it doesn’t matter whether you are experienced or not, have a baby or a toddler, are a mum or dad, live in Texas or London or anywhere in between.

After choosing Turquoise for the new spring 2016 colour for Calin Bleu, we decided to run a giveaway on Facebook.
All you had to do was guess the new colour. (If you’re not already following Calin Bleu on Facebook , do that now so you don’t miss out next time.)
We were surprised at how many people wanted really bright and bold colours. Well as we love colour it inspired us to see if we could create some more new colours for summer.
And this time they would be BRIGHT!
Here’s what happened.
Here’s the progress of the batch we call “Sunshine Yellow”.
The machine was full when I unfolded all the natural wraps and put them in.
Then they soon shrink down after a wash.
See how the dye gradually works its way into the fabric? It’s fascinating to watch 🙂
The finished result is at the end, the unfinished dry wraps waiting to go back to the factory to be finished and packed up ready for their new homes 🙂
Here’s a sneak peak at all the colours.
When the waps are ready for sale we will announce it on Facebook so make sure you follow us there.
There are only 5 wraps of each colour so you’d better be quick if you want one!
We are currently trying to get the dyers to replicate the colours, but bright and bold colours are very tricky, so we don’t know if we’ll be able to get any more done yet.
Calin Bleu has always strived to make babywearing comfortable and affordable. So we are particularly delighted to offer our cotton gauze fabric for sale by the meter. Parents who want to make their own wraps or slings can do this very important DIY project safe in the knowledge that the fabric has been safety tested for baby carrying. Whether you’re making a new baby gift for yourself, partner, friend or family member the possibilities are endless!
The fabric is available in both full width – approx 132cm to 138cm at £9 per meter and half width – approx 65cm to 68cm at £5 per meter. Our full selection of 14 colours are available as well as the natural, undyed fabric that you can use for your own dying projects.
So if you’ve ever fancied a wider wrap, shorter or longer wrap, a different tail or colour then get out your scissors and sewing machine and get creative!
You can of course make any number of lovely things with this fabric including babywearing bags, muslin cloths, ring slings, toys etc so do let us know what you make as we’d love to see the results !
If you enter our competition to win one of Calin Bleu’s Patriotic Wraparound Baby Slings you and your baby could enjoy the Games snuggled up close together.
Lots of parents have been delighted to hear that they are not required to buy an additional ticket for their baby.
“Babies will be able to go to the Olympics without having to get a ticket, London 2012 chief executive Paul Deighton has announced.”
How? By being carried in a baby sling or carrier.
So if you’d like to carry your baby in comfort and style just head over to our Facebook page to enter the competition. To be eligible you need tickets to attend the Olympic games.
We’ll do a random draw on 15th July so you have plenty of time to choose your wrap colour and pick your flag. Choose from the Union Jack, the English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish flag.
It’ll also give you a chance to wash and wear it before the big day! Remember that you can reverse the wrap when you don’t feel like wearing it with the flag on display. As part of the competition we’d love the winner to send us some photos of them and their baby at the Games in the wrap too:-)
Good luck and enjoy!

It’s not easy dressing up for a party or a wedding when you have a little one in tow. You need something stylish, comfortable, with easy access for breastfeeding, and finally something easy to wear with your baby sling. However, with a bit of planning, it’s easy to find an outfit that will make you feel great. Today, let’s take a look at the little black baby wrap. What would you wear with it?
A wrap dress is always a safe option. As it is tied at the back, it adapts to your changing body shape so you don’t have to worry about loosing post-baby curves quickly. The wrap top also allows you to breasfeed your baby discreetly. If you’re worried about modesty or pluging neckline, simply wear a vest or a nursing tank top underneath. We love this polka dot wrap dress with its cute Fifties look. Worn with a cream bolero (which won’t show any baby-spit accident), it’s both stylish and retro.
When you’re carrying a baby, you need to wear comfortable shoes. Finding comfortable AND elegant can be a challenge but there are many options out there. Pumps for example don’t have to be boring. With strass or sparkles you’re sure to make an impression! Retro and vintage fashion brings some new choice with chunky heels and sash court shoes. Wedge shoes also tend to be comfortable and stable.
Wearing jewellery with children can be complicated. Baby might chew on it and you worry that he might ingest something nasty. Or he might pull on it and break your favourite necklace. A striking bracelet and / or chunky a ring are lovely subsitutions.
So there you have it, ideas for the perfect baby-friendly outfit for a wedding or any occasion to go with your black baby sling.
Have you ever been with your baby to a wedding? What did you wear? Did you feel comfortable?
